A hymn of praise to Monty Python

To the mysterious creator
of all that is right and good
I lift thy spirit in musical
dancing, namesake celebration
each step I praise thine gracious giving
the brilliant icons the Monty Pythons
Oh timeless, forever entertaining!
Ye Flying Circus I thank thee for;
the dead bird, nailed to come alive,
a cheese shop without cheese, hard to believe
and a joke deadly to the ears if spoke
I praise thy spirit higher for thine blessing
Ye Life of Brian, mistaken for Christ
at birth, for Pontius Pilate, Biggus Dickus,
Blessed be the Judean People’s Front,
or the People’s Front of Judea!
Thine grail, sought to no avail
to face the nights of Ni to find a shrubbery,
and oh, glorious praise! The killer rabbit!
Oh spirit bless thy glorious melodies
Thyself created thus the musical
of Spamalot, where they didn’t go to Camelot.
Beautiful choreography to which
ye dance in praise, and with thine
melodious harmony sing of the Monty
Pythons, lifting thy name in harmonious
rejoicing for blessing thus such talented
comedians, the Monty Pythons.
